Transplanted from a small town in Wisconsin, Flitsch attended Columbia College, where he earned a double major in Fiction Writing and Photography with a minor in Art Design. He later pursued his Masters in Education with a focus on curriculum design, has a California Cleared Credential for K-8, and is certified to teach photography from grades K-College.

—PHOTOGRAPHY—

His photography has been featured in the LA Times, Britain’s Gratzia Magazine, and various other online/print avenues. He’s also had work shown in Chicago galleries.

He’s currently shopping his children’s book, Snap Happy — an adventure/DIY Mindful Photography book for kids.

—PERFORMANCE/HOSTING—

He was a featured The Moth host, has been in a variety of commercial, and television opportunities, and has dabbled in a variety of on-air hosting opportunities.

He’s performed for mainstream storytelling venues in Chicago & LA: Comedy Central Stage in Hollywood, SCRamble (South Coast Repertory), 2nd Story, The Moth, R.U.I, Around the Coyote, Homolatte, Solo Homo, Theater 7, and Quickies.

He wants to be a T.V. host and has some stints in the media world. He’s been featured on Chicago Public Radio and The Onion’s AV Club. He was recently interviewed by NBC’s favored “Mug Shot Monday"” He was also a featured guest on Chicago’s “Check Please.

—TEACHING—

He’s taught 4th/5th grade for seven years at a charter school in Altadena, California. He’s also taught after-school photography classes for the last five years, including: “Basic Photography Principles” & “Mindful Photography”. He also won “Teacher of the Year”.

He has lofty dreams of becoming a television host for a Travel Channel/HGTV Show  (Think how-to superstar), is obsessed with photo booths, enjoys a mean coffee, and will one day write that book he promised his grandma. He lives with his adorable partner, his pup Dexter, and with plenty of other adorables.
